Staying at Casa Monte Grappa offers a lovely glimpse into the slower pace of Sardinian life. Located in a quiet, idyllic village right on the market square, the house sits almost in the shadow of the church tower, making it feel like a very natural part of the local community. The house serves as a practical home base for exploring the surrounding region. There is plenty of history and nature to discover, from the ancient Nuraghe sites to the local caves. On a particularly sunny day, it is well worth heading out to find the rivers tucked between the rocks for a refreshing swim. A very helpful thing we found was the guide written by Frederik. It is full of local tips and specific spots that aren't on the typical tourist radar, which really helped us find our way around. It also pointed us toward some excellent restaurants nearby where you can enjoy authentic Sardinian flavors. The landscape is excellent for walking, and the coastline is varied enough to suit anyone, offering everything from sandy stretches to pebble beaches. The hike to Cala Goloritzé is certainly worth the effort; the water there really does remind you of the "Blue Lagoon." To finish the day, there are some nice spots along the coast to grab a drink, with the Sard Cafe being a particularly relaxed place to enjoy.

From their comfortable home you enjoy the theater of Sardinian village life, the solemn bustle that occasionally interrupts the serene silence. Your left neighbor is a church; your right, an elderly woman who greets you kindly. If you want the tides of the Mediterranean Sea, a full fridge, or an affordable yet creative restaurant, you can hop in your car and in just a few minutes you'll be at the coast, in the supermarket, or at a fine dining restaurant where they'll ask about Frederik and Silvia, the friendly owners of Casa Monte Grappa. We komen al jaren naar het mooie, authentieke Baris Sardo op vakantie en dit prachtig, recent gerenoveerde huis in typisch Sardse stijl is steeds onze vaste stek om te verblijven. De ligging is ideaal, pal in het centrum naast de prachtige kerk en ditto kerkplein en op wandelafstand van winkels, bars en ontbijtadresjes. Het superhandige boekje van de eigenaar met tips, weetjes, wat je kan doen en waar je lekker kan gaan eten is daarbij een bijkomende, grote meerwaarde. Het huis zelf is ruim, comfortabel en uitgerust met alle voorzieningen die je nodig hebt voor een zorgeloze vakantie. De moderne inrichting gaat mooi samen met de charme van de authentieke Sardse bouwstijl die in elke kamer is doorgetrokken waardoor het huis heel karaktervol aanvoelt zonder aan comfort in te boeten. Bij aankomst is alles steeds piekfijn gepoetst en het huis wordt duidelijk goed onderhouden. Wifi, airco, keukenapparatuur, TV, bleutoothradio... alles werkt prima. Voor ons is dit vakantieverblijf er eentje uit het absolute topsegment, het beste waar we al hebben verbleven, en een plek waar we heel graag naar blijven terugkeren. Een dikke aanrader!

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful holiday home near the sea in Sardinia with lovely beaches . The location is perfect, in the middle of the authentic Italian city, with very nice restaurants. The house is spotless, comfortable, and well equipped, offering everything needed for a relaxing holiday. We especially loved spending time on the terrace, enjoying the beautiful weather. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful and unforgettable seaside escape in Sardinia, and we would gladly return.
